Chunyang Tan received his Ph.D. degree in Engineering in Zhejiang University, China in 2010. He is currently a research associate in the Department of earth Sciences at the University of Minnesota. His research interest focuses on in-situ chemical sensor technology for applications in hydrothermal vent fluid at elevated P-T conditions. His efforts also involve high P-T reaction systems and the development of new experimental and theoretical modeling approaches that can be used to supplement field data.
