Sabrina Brown specializes in reconstructing disturbance ecology and climate using paleolimnology. She received a B.S. in Science Education and Earth/Environmental Science and an M.S. in Earth and Quaternary Science from Indiana State University. Her thesis work included reconstructing fire ecology within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem using dendrochronology, macroscopic charcoal, and fossil diatoms. She is pursuing her Ph.D. at University of Nebraska-Lincoln with Dr. Sheri Fritz where she will work to investigate the impacts of hydrothermal activity on the aquatic ecosystem using diatom assemblages.
