What do you find unique and interesting about Yellowstone National Park?
How volcanism has shaped the park that we see today.
What new things do you hope to learn over the course of the project?
I hope to have a greater understanding of the hydrothermal systems
How did you become interested in your field of study?
I have always had an immense interest in the Earth and how it works, however I emphasized in particle physics as an undergraduate. When applying for PhDs, I searched many different fields and discovered that applying my knowledge of physics to the questions posed by geosciences was the best fit for me.
What is one of your favorite things about your job?
The opportunity to study the Earth in one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
