Dr. Jean Vandemeulebrouck is geophysicist at Institut des Sciences de la Terre (ISTerre), CNRS and Université Savoie Mt Blanc, France. He is leading the volcano-geophysics research team at ISTerre which currently includes 10 researchers. His main research theme is the study of volcanic hydrothermal systems. He uses geophysical techniques (seismic, geo-electric) to image the structures of these fluid–saturated systems and also performs analogue modeling of the physical processes that are taking place there. At present, he is mainly working at Phlegrean Fields (Italy) and Yellowstone (USA).
